Job DescriptionAbout the role
The IT Data Platform Engineer II is a senior-level position in the Digital Transformation team focused on Integrating disparate data sources with the Amcor Azure Data Hub, creating interfaces to integrate Azure Data Hub with external and internal applications, and utilizing the Azure Data Hub to provide insight to analysts and decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Develop reports using visualization tools to present analysis to the business users.
Key Job Accountabilities
Gathers requirements & interviews business users with business analysts
· Creates technical & end-user documentation
· Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines in Azure
· Experience in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Extract Load and Transform (ELT) data integration patterns.
· Build Real-time and batch data integrations.
· Building and consuming API’s (OData and REST).
· Create reports using Visualization tools like Power BI and Qlik Sense.
· Experienced in utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Event Hub, Logic Apps , Azure Functions and Azure SQL Database.
· Maintain the Azure Data Hub.
· Ensures accuracy in data loads for ad-hoc, testing, & production scenarios; adopts process methods & transactions for optimal loading & adequate testing
· Ensures data ingestion/data load performance
· Presenting in small and large groups
· Experience in writing efficient queries
· Tracks & reports development status & timeline to leadership & to appropriate internal tracking systems
· Provides production support in the areas of security, troubleshooting, system monitoring/uptime & performance tuning; escalate risks & issues when needed
· Contributes to the design & maintenance of integration interfaces
· Shows the dedication & care to produce & promote powerful, high quality BI development & reporting environments that allow for timely, accurate data & decision making throughout the Bemis Company
· Guide and mentor other engineers in building and maintaining a high-quality data integration.
· Ability to understand & debug report transformation objects
· Technical documentation
· Requirements and business use documentation
· Ability to manage time sensitive deadlines
· On-Call support on a 24x7 rotating schedule is required, as well as the use of a mobile device
· Experience working in Waterfall and Agile Projects.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelors degree in IT, MIS and/or Business Management or 5 – 7 years experience in comparable Business Systems/IT Technical environment focusing on cloud data integration, cloud API development, reporting, analytics & dashboard
· 3 – 5 years minimum of cloud data integration, API development, advance analytics, or dashboard software development
· Up to 20% travel
