You will work closely with clients to analyse project needs, develop strategies for efficient project delivery, and offer guidance and support to help clients enhance project management practices, mitigate risks, and achieve successful outcomes.

Job Description 

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Capital Projects and Infrastructure team in the Bangalore Acceleration Center. The role involves working on large-scale capital projects and infrastructure programs, with a strong focus on sustainability, technology integration, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience in consulting, technology strategy, process redesign, and supporting capital program lifecycle initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Consulting and Solution Design: Lead efforts in consulting, designing, and implementing business processes and technology solutions for large-scale capital projects and programs. 

  • Sector Expertise: Understand and address common challenges faced by clients in industries such as Engineering & Construction, Power and Utilities, Energy, Manufacturing, and Industrial Products. 

  • Capital Program Lifecycle Support: Assist clients in optimizing capital project delivery processes, ensuring alignment with best practices, ESG standards, and sustainability goals. 

  • Business Process Improvement: Assess and improve business processes, leveraging project technologies like Cora, Primavera Unifier, and other construction management tools. 

  • Technology Integration:  

  • Design, implement, and support cross-functional business process improvements with technology solutions. 

  • Work with analytics and construction management tools, such as Cora, Primavera P6, Primavera Unifier, @Risk, Deltek Acumen. 

  • Process Assessment and Improvement: Participate in assessing and redesigning business processes, incorporating sustainability principles and data-driven decision-making. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with client teams to understand business needs, translate requirements into actionable solutions, and support project implementation. 

  • Risk Mitigation and Management: Analyze project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and build risk models using advanced tools and methodologies (e.g., @Risk, Monte Carlo). 

  • Client Deliverables: Prepare and present clear, concise, and accurate deliverables under aggressive timelines, addressing key client issues and objectives. 

  • Data Analytics and Visualization: Develop insights and models using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Alteryx to support capital program decisions. 

  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities to build client capabilities and align teams on processes and technology solutions. 

  • Project Execution: Drive workstreams in large-scale construction projects, renewable energy infrastructure, utility transmission systems, and data center construction, ensuring seamless execution and integration. 

  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet PwC’s quality standards and uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct. 

 

Education 

  • Degrees/Field of Study Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related field. 

  • Preferred Degrees: Master’s degree in Construction Management, Project Engineering & Management, Risk Management, or Business Administration (MBA). 

 

Experience 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing capital projects, sustainability initiatives, or infrastructure programs. 

 

 

Certifications 

  • Preferred Certifications: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) 

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) 

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner 

  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) 

  • Scrum Master Certifications (CSM/PSM) 

  • Certifications related to sustainability or green building (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP). 

 

Required Skills 

  • Thorough knowledge of capital project lifecycles, including planning, design, and execution phases. 

  • Experience working with project management tools such as Primavera Unifier, Cora. 

  • Understanding of industry-specific challenges in sectors like engineering and construction, energy, manufacturing, or utilities. 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, propose solutions, and deliver results. 

  • Proficiency in data cleansing, modeling, and visualization using Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, and/or Python. 

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project). 

 

Preferred Skills 

  • Knowledge of risk modeling and mitigation techniques using advanced tools like @Risk or Monte Carlo simulations. 

  • Experience with renewable energy, grid modernization, or data center construction projects.

Travel Requirements 

Up to 20%, depending on client needs.
