Senior Software Engineer, Content Understanding

You Will:

• Work on a spectrum of challenging content understanding problems related to image, 3D model, audio, text and video
• Design and build seamless ML workflow from model training, evaluation to model inference for content annotation service in production
• Balance between researching new technologies and applying practical solutions to Roblox products
• Collaborate with passionate Engineers, Product Managers and other Roblox team members, collaborating across multiple functions.

You Have:

• A strong understanding of deep learning frameworks including PyTorch and Tensorflow, as well as ML development workflow from training to deployment
• Deep knowledge in innovative computer vision algorithms and deep learning network architectures
• Practical experience in shipping deep learning models in production to solve real world problems at scale
• 5+ years experience in at least two languages (Python, C#, C++, Java) and willingness to learn more as needed
• Strong theoretical background in computer vision or deep learning
• Worked on image or 3D object understanding in the game industry

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
