We are an innovative and fast-growing company looking for a talented Power BI Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will transform data into actionable insights through advanced visualization techniques, collaborating across departments to create impactful reports and dashboards that empower decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain accurate, reliable datasets from various sources, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Implement robust security measures, including row-level and object-level security, to safeguard data and control access based on user roles.
- Create visually compelling, user-friendly dashboards and reports to communicate complex data insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines to automate report and dataset deployment for seamless, efficient rollouts.
- Manage Power BI workspaces with a focus on access controls, security, and optimal user experience.
- Implement mechanisms to track and update based on data changes, optimizing refresh processes.
- Recommend best practices for live feeds versus data pushing to ensure efficient data integration.
- Configure and maintain gateways for secure, reliable connections to on-premises data sources.
- Use DAX, MDX, SQL, and Power Query for complex calculations, data transformations, and advanced queries.
- Optimize report performance and manage large datasets effectively, leveraging aggregations and other strategies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Power BI, DAX, MDX, SQL, and Power Query, including performance tuning and handling large datasets.
- Familiarity with Git branching strategies for collaborative Power BI development.
- Strong verbal and written skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Thrives in agile environments, working closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Proficient in creating compelling presentations to convey data-driven insights.
- Skilled at gathering requirements, addressing concerns, and providing updates to clients and customers.
