Role Purpose

The intern will support the Harvest Program’s goal of establishing a data system/platform to support the Technology Communities structure lab data. The intern will build technical capability under the guidance of the program team, have to opportunity to expand their technical skill set (both with tool and language exposure opportunities), and support an enterprise data transformation program within the Technology Community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the development of data pipelines
  • Assist in the design analysis effort to finalize a data architecture
  • Assist in the development of a change management plan to transition from current to future architecture
  • Assist the software development team in development effort (if desired to learn this skill set)
  • Learn new techniques and methods as needed to support the project objectives

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Has obtained or pursuing Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering, or Information Systems with a graduation date of December 2025. 
  • Ability to build relationships and interact with software development / technical team
  • Technical curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools/languages. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information
  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity. 
  • Be willing to work at the posted job location(s)

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Working with various data tools such as JMP, excel, Databricks, Qlick, etc.. 
  • Working with Python, SQL/Oracle, etc.

 

 

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.  

 

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
