The Opportunity:

Seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data across our systems. As a Data Quality Analyst, you will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to identify data quality issues, define data standards, and implement solutions to enhance data quality and consistency.

A Day in the Life (What you will do here):

  • Data Quality Assurance:
    • Monitor and maintain data quality standards across multiple datasets and data systems.
    • Perform regular data profiling to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and potential areas for improvement.
    • Proactively conduct data validation, cleansing, and enrichment tasks to ensure high-quality data is available for analysis and reporting.
  • Data Quality Reporting:
    • Develop and maintain reports on data quality metrics, trends, and performance indicators and provide insights and recommendations.
    • Generate value add, intuitive dashboards to track and visualize data quality KPIs (e.g., accuracy, completeness, consistency).
    • Proactively communicate data quality issues and progress toward resolution to relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Auditing:
    • Develop routine, scheduled audit data pipelines and databases for inconsistencies or errors.
    • Assist in root cause analysis of data issues and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and other teams to understand data requirements and ensure data is properly formatted, accurate, and consistent.
    • Participate in meetings with business and technical teams to identify data quality needs and contribute to the design and implementation of data quality frameworks.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Develop and refine data quality processes, tools, and best practices.
    • Implement automated testing and validation processes to streamline data quality workflows.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the overall data quality strategy.
  • Data Governance:
    • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of data governance policies.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data management policies.

What you need to ensure you are set up for success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in a data quality or data management role.
  • Strong understanding of data quality concepts, including accuracy, consistency, completeness, timeliness, and reliability.
  • Experience working with data quality tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, DataFlux, etc.) or data validation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Knowledge of data profiling techniques and data quality metrics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience an asset.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices.
  • Experience with programming languages (Python, R, etc.) for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Azure, DataBricks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (, Power BI) for reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data services.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for data accuracy and consistency.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex data issues and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
