The position provides programming and data support to the Applied Technology group which focuses on machine learning and computer vision technologies to perform seed selection and analysis.
Essential Job Functions:

Perform data analysis and create deep learning models using structured and unstructured data.

Maintain and contribute to Applied Technology codebase.

Perform statistical analysis for seed selection, production technologies, and genetics.

Perform and improve data collection in the Applied Technology lab.

Assist in ongoing QC testing within the Applied Technology group.

Effectively communicate and work with multiple departments.

Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
-
Process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.

Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.

Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions

Ensure generated data aligns with established testing methods across departments.

Create, maintain, and train staff on all relevant SOPs.

Train new hires and associates on procedures and safety protocols
-
Adhere to safety regulations, MSDS, and SOPs.
-
Ensure compliance with the company handbook, rules, guidelines, procedures, and safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment.J

Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
-
Bachelor degree in a science field or equivalent work experience.

Master’s Degree (preferred)
-
3+ years’ experience in related field (preferred)

Strong skills in Windows based applications
-
Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insight from data sets

Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with their applications.

Experience visualizing and presenting data for stakeholders.

Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (Pytorch or Tensorflow)

Ability to design, build, analyze, and communicate about seed testing results and technologies.

Ability to create and analyze the performance of machine learning models.
-
Ability to code in one or more programming languages (R, Python, SLQ, MATLAB etc.)
