The Operations Academy Team operates within the Operations Performance Enablement Group. Our mission is to support LSEG Operations employees through their Career lifecycle, onboarding new employees, build technical skills, embedding ways of working, and developing operations leaders. Through targeted, relevant, impactful, and timely learning solutions, we foster growth and excellence in Operations.
The Sr. Learning Consultant will report to the Learning Manager of the Technical Skills Development Team in Operations Academy and will be responsible for conducting learning needs analysis and developing, delivering, and measuring the effectiveness of learning programs, in partnership with the Program Managers.
Target Profile
Candidates with technical knowledge and skills on data fluency, cloud computing, networking, operating systems, programming, and automation.
Key responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidate will build experiences on:
- Training Facilitation: Deliver training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to diverse groups of employees.
- Learning Needs Analysis (LNA): Lead in conducting training needs assessments to identify targeted learning requirements (e.g. change in workflows and processes, tools and product updates or launches, and measure of success, as agreed with the business owners
- Training Program Development: Own and lead the plan, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of global learning programs, projects, events (pathways or individual learning courses) that align with business goals and employee needs using different learning principles, methodologies, and tools
- Program/Project Management: Lead global multi-functional projects of varying scopes and complexity
- Learning Evaluation: Ensure learning efficacy of our learning offerings and programs are assessed through feedback, surveys, knowledge checks or exams, and key performance metrics aligned to business performance targets
- Business Partnering & Consulting: Lead client partnerships and regularly engage with customers from various levels of seniority within and outside the team, e.g. SMEs, Team Leaders, and Directors, and build positive business relationships to efficiently support and deliver various learning requirements
- Governance: Follow standards and lead colleagues in aligning to the group’s learning success measures, internal processes and audits, e.g. maintenance of learning materials, and overall performance measures
- Problem-Solving/Innovation: Pioneer innovation initiatives. Keep yourself and the team up-to-date with industry trends in Learning & Development and provide recommendations to key learning issues and process improvements out of LNAs, administrative duties, and overall operational workflows
- Mentoring/Coaching: Mentor & coach colleagues and act as team deputy to support and steer the team in the right direction in various projects and assignments
- Learning Administration: Complete, own, and lead all administrative duties such as, but not limited to: scheduling, calendar maintenance, logistics, reporting, and any tasks relevant to Pre, During, and Post training sessions, maintenance of learning pathways, courses, and web pages where learning is housed and advertised.
- Professional Development: Continuously develop your knowledge, skills, and capabilities to align with industry standards and meet business demand.
Qualifications: What you need to bring - Knowledge & Skills Subject matter Expertise
- Knowledge: LSEG Desktop, Enterprise Tech workflows, and Product support, e.g. Workspace
- Knowledge: Processes and Tools within Operations, e.g. Salesforce
- Skill (Basic-Intermediate Level): Training Delivery or Facilitation, face-to-face and virtual setting
- Skill (Basic-Intermediate Level): Instructional design, instructor-led and self-paced learning
- Project management experience is an advantage
- Up-to-date understanding of the latest industry trends on Learning & Development
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with colleagues in different roles across the organization
- Strong customer management and engagement skills
- Strong self-leadership
- Ability to work under pressure, against tight deadlines, and drive creative outcomes in unclear situations
- Ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback
- Dedication to continuous learning and self-development
Preferred Knowledge & Skills accreditation (not limited to)
- Technical certifications completed (at least 1 with goal to add in future for professional development) a plus:
- RHCSA
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Azure Network Engineer Associate
- VMware Certified Professional
- Knowledge (Intermediate-Advanced Level):
- Cloud Technology (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
- Programming (SQL, Python, R, JSON)
- AI (ML, NLP, DL, Gen AI, LLM)
