We are seeking a motivated Power BI Trainee to join our data management and governance team in Wood Products Division.
In this role, you will support the quality, consistency, and accuracy of metadata in our data catalog. Collaborating closely with Data Owners and Data Stewards, you will help ensure robust data governance within Power BI workspaces, enhancing data usability and accessibility across our organization.
You can be located in our office in Ostrava or Ždírec, Czechia.
Key Responsibilities:
Metadata Quality Support: Assist in maintaining high metadata standards by verifying and updating metadata entries, supporting data owners and stewards in catalog accuracy.
Data Catalog Management: Help manage and organize data assets in our data catalog, ensuring consistency, completeness, and compliance with governance standards.
Power BI Workspace Governance: Work within Power BI workspace to support data cataloging, metadata documentation, and data lineage tracking, ensuring proper data governance.
Data Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of metadata entries to identify and resolve any data inconsistencies or inaccuracies.
Collaboration with Data Stakeholders: Engage with data owners and data stewards to ensure alignment on data standards, quality practices, and governance policies.
Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation of metadata standards and processes. Provide training and support to data owners and stewards in metadata entry and management best practices.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Economy, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of data governance principles and metadata management.
Familiarity with Power BI and its workspace management capabilities is a plus.
Report building skills are a plus.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data quality.
Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English to work with various stakeholders in a global data-driven environment.
