Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Payments Optimization

As an Economy Payments Flow Optimization engineer, you will optimize Roblox’s payments funnel. This team designs and builds product features, payment funnel optimizations, and data processing capabilities. You will build out and support mass parallel experiments, and collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists.

Our team’s challenges are not just regular day-to-day technical challenges. You will be in a data-driven environment developing high-scale data solutions and helping launch mass experiments that will have impacts across our platform and community.

You Will:

• Launch experiments to improve user experience on our frontend and mobile surfaces.
• Develop backend services and data processing to implement product logic, perform reporting and analytic calculations, and produce features for ML models.
• Collaborate with our cross-functional team members including those in product, design, data science, and machine learning.

You Have:

• 5+ years of professional experience working with scalable, distributed systems
• Strong experience in large-scale, data-driven architecture, API design, data modeling, and SQL / NoSQL data storage.
• Experience with modern front-end development using technologies like React and TypeScript
• A passion for delivering products end-to-end, from ideation through implementation and A/B testing, while being empathetic with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with data processing technologies such as Spark, Flink, Hive, Airflow, or Kafka is a plus, but not required
• Strong ownership with proactive, candid communication, and an ability to handle high complexity
• A Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science or another quantitative field

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range$233,840—$283,780 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
