What You’ll Be Part Of:

The SVP of Data Science is a strategic leader responsible for driving the vision, execution, and evolution of the company's data science initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring our measurement capabilities remain best-in-class across linear, streaming and digital platforms. This leader will oversee a multidisciplinary team and collaborate across departments to leverage data-driven insights for innovation, operational excellence, and strategic growth while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ethical data use.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data science strategy aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Serve as a key thought leader in the application of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to the ad measurement domain.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to embed data science into broader corporate strategy and decision-making.

Team Development and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of data scientists, analysts, and machine learning engineers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Ensure the team's capabilities stay at the forefront of industry advancements.

Project and Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data science projects, ensuring prioritized, timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • Implement best practices for model development, testing, validation, and deployment.
  • Establish robust data governance and compliance frameworks.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing, etc.) to identify opportunities and drive data-driven initiatives.
  • Clearly communicate complex data concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Methodology Development:

  • Lead the development of innovative measurement methodologies that address challenges in cross-platform ad attribution, audience measurement, and outcome-based reporting.
  • Drive research initiatives that foster innovation and explore new methodologies.
  • Ensure robust experimentation and validation of methodologies to maintain the highest levels of accuracy and reliability. 

AI and Emerging Technologies:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data science and AI.
  • Spearhead experimentation and implementation of AI-driven solutions for real-time data processing, predictive analytics, and personalization.
  • Facilitate experimentation and the rapid prototyping of new ideas into the company’s measurement capabilities where applicable.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing data science teams.
  • Proven track record of applying data science to drive business value and strategic insights.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, AI, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in ad-tech, mar-tech, or related domains.
  • Background in big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with technologies such as Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch
  • Expertise in data governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Target cash compensation range: $250,000- 300,000 USD Annually

We are committed to providing competitive, market-informed compensation. The cash compensation above includes base salary, variable commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all full time iSpotters are eligible to participate in iSpot’s equity plan to receive stock options. Non-exempt roles will also be eligible for (pre-approved) overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are influenced by different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Hybrid & Flexible Workplace Policy

iSpot supports a hybrid and flexible workplace. Depending on location and work responsibilities, employees may be designated as full-time or part-time office-based or a fully remote employee. A hybrid work schedule indicates that you work in the office some days and work from home other days. The best hybrid workplaces allow for flexibility while also encouraging consistency. 

Those local or living in surrounding areas to one of our offices (Bellevue, WA; El Segundo, CA; New York, NY) will work a hybrid schedule, coming into their local office 1-3 days a week. While those in a role, not office-based and located further away from our offices, will work a fully remote schedule.
