- Hybrid model: London-based - 3x time in Canary Wharf.
- Target Start Date: January 2025
Responsibilities:
- Credit Risk Modelling: Develop and implement credit assessment models and scorecards using client data.
- Data Preparation: Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Machine Learning: Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive models.
- Model Validation: Validate and back-test models to ensure their accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and insights through clear, impactful reports and visualizations.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in data science and credit risk modelling.
What we're looking for in our applicants:
- + 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis, modelling, and visualization.
- Strong understanding of statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Good to have:
- Experience in financial modelling or credit risk is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in credit risk modelling.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
