What you’ll be doing:

• Lead research projects from conception to completion, including reviewing literature, proposing initiatives, aligning with product teams, and delivering PoC/MLP solutions.
• Design and conduct experiments to analyze data, interpret results, and translate findings into actionable product insights.
• Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to strategic planning and deliver research insights to guide product decisions.
• Explore and assess existing API solutions, including quality and tunability evaluations.
• Investigate open-source tools and develop in-house generation models using Preply’s infrastructure.
• Deliver a Proven Technology List within 3-4 months, including insights, risks, recommendations, and a roadmap for deploying AI-based learning products.

What you need to succeed:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading research projects focused on computer vision. 
• Experience as an ML Engineer, knowledge of MLOps principles.
• Familiarity with open-source and API-based solutions or interest in this field.
• Excellent communication skills. C1 level of English.
