Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist to join our development center in Cochin. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert as a member of the Product team, building analytics and reporting services  for our prestigious clients/customers. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications, ensuring code quality, and providing technical guidance to the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics development and a proven track record of leading successful projects. This is a remote position, and the candidate can be based anywhere in India.

What You Will Do:-

• Data Modeling in Sisense: to support customer data analysis and visualization.
• Dashboards and Reports to provide a focus on actionable insights and stakeholder communication.
• Google Tag Manager (GTM) and GA4 configuration that are used to capture tracking activities. 
• Be the subject matter expert in capturing, organizing data connectivity regarding GA4 integrations.
• Prepare and produce releases and release notes of  software components.
• Work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Work with our global technology partner to deliver solutions to our clients.

What do you need to succeed:- 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in business or technology related to (GTM, GA4, Sisense or similar tool, Qlik(Talent) 
• A passion and ability to learn new technologies and exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Experience delivering technical design & architecture documentation.

Technical Skills:-

Data Modeling and BI Tools 

• Proficiency in Sisense (or similar BI tools like Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
• Ability to create, optimize, and maintain dashboards and visual reports.

 Analytics Tools

• Expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) configuration and management.
• Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) for event tracking and tag configuration.
• Familiarity with other platforms such as Adobe, 
• Familiarity with cross-domain tracking, custom dimensions/metrics, and conversion tracking.

ETL Tools and Processes

• Proficiency with ETL tools such as Talend, Apache NiFi, Alteryx, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Glue).

 Programming and Query Languages

• SQL: Advanced skills for querying, transforming, and modeling data.
• Python or R for data manipulation, automation, and ETL workflows.
• Familiarity with JavaScript (for GTM custom scripts and debugging).

 Data Warehousing and Storage

• Understanding of data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience with data integration across various sources like APIs, databases, and cloud storage.

Web and Digital Analytics

• Understanding of web analytics principles, cookie management, and tag firing logic.
• Ability to debug tracking implementations using browser developer tools.

 Integrations

• Practical experience integration leveraging (javascript, HTML, and Java) 
• Practical experience implementing a data layer on web

Analytical and Conceptual Skills:-

Data Analysis

• Ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
• Understanding of KPIs and business metrics to ensure reporting aligns with business goals.

 Problem-Solving

• Strong debugging skills for troubleshooting issues with GTM/GA4, ETL pipelines, or BI tools.
• Creative problem-solving to model data efficiently and effectively for reporting.

 Business Acumen

• Knowledge of business operations and the ability to tailor dashboards and analytics to support decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder communication to gather requirements and deliver insights.

Nice to Have :-

• Java frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot and JSF
• Strong Web UI development skills (i.e. HTML, CSS,Bootstrap (2,3 and latest), JavaScript, Angular/React/Vue)
• Agile Development Processes and Tools (Jira, Confluence, Scrum, etc.)
• Experience with OSGI framework
• Experience with MVC design pattern
• Experience with Hibernate/Spring frameworks
• Experience with code management tools, automated build setup, and deployment procedures (CI/CD using Jenkins/Git)
• Experience with Elasticsearch/Kibana
• Experience with server administration and configurations (e.g webserver configurations like NGINX/Apache configuration and tweaking)
