Overview:


VAST is committed to leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and improve business outcomes. We are seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team that will enhance our capabilities by building analytics and dashboards that deliver actionable insights. The candidate will roll up their sleeves and work hands-on in Salesforce (SFDC) and Tableau. The role will work with business stakeholders, especially Marketing, to develop solutions that improve VAST reporting systems, data quality, and processes.


As a Senior Data Analyst, this position will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights. The role will be responsible for analyzing data and creating visually compelling dashboards using Salesforce and Tableau. The Sr. Data Analyst will lead large, complex analytics and reporting projects, delivering accurate, accessible, and repeatable business reporting and insights to stakeholders across all levels. We are seeking an analyst that can tell stories with data and deliver actionable recommendations that our stakeholders regularly use to make change within their organizations. With a focus on Marketing analytics, the ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Marketing programs, organizational structures, tools, best practices, and strategies. This role will collaborate with Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, and Regional Marketing teams to build analytics that inform decision making, increase return on investment, and improve business outcomes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Data Extraction: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and interpret data from various to provide actionable insights that support business objectives.
  • Reporting: Develop ad-hoc reports and analytics packages for regular business reviews. Builds and maintains reports in Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Data Visualization: Develop and maintain thoughtful visualizations to represent data, trends, and performance metrics. Builds visualizations that tell a story.
  • Insights: Delivers analytics that answer key business questions and actionable insights that create value and improve business outcomes.
  • Data Management: Ensure the accuracy of data through regular audits and process improvement efforts. Works to improve the integrity of our data.
  • Process & Policy: Works cross-functionally to streamline data processes. Troubleshoot issues and collaborates to improve data across systems.
  • Support & Enablement: Act as a primary support resource for Marketing teams for all help requests related to Salesforce data and analytics.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics ore related quantitative field
  • 3-5+ years in Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, or similar role 
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Tableau, Salesforce and Excel to design and produce business insights
  • Experience with Marketing data source (Hubspot, Google Analytics, Salesforce) required
  • Experience with data visualization best practices and design principles 
  • Preferred: Proficiency in SQL and experience with data extraction and transformation.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting a global customer-focused team 
  • Preferred: B2B Marketing analytics experience is a plus
  • Travel: Minimal travel required (approximately 10% or less annually)
