We're seeking a highly experienced PowerBI Expert to lead this high-performing data visualization team toward our future success. Mission Description:

You will support a leading French company in employee engagement and benefits management by importing diverse datasets, modeling, and visualizing data in PowerBI. In this role, you’ll independently manage data preparation and visualization tasks, minimizing the workload on the existing data team. Your objective is to derive meaningful insights from the data, crafting a compelling storytelling experience through customized dashboards and impactful reports. Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Interpretation:

  • Gather, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources, uncovering trends and patterns that inform business strategies and improvements.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify insights that directly support key business objectives.

 

Visualization & Reporting:

  • Design and develop intuitive, informative dashboards and reports using PowerBI, ensuring data is presented clearly and meaningfully to business teams.

  • Tailor visualizations to communicate findings effectively, enabling stakeholders to understand complex data with ease.

 

Autonomous Data Preparation:

  • Independently manage data import, transformation, and modelling processes within PowerBI, minimizing the need for support from the data team.

  • Prepare data for analysis.

 

Decision Support:

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and apply statistical modelling techniques to provide business teams with data-driven insights for decision-making.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness of initiatives and support continuous improvement.

 

Optimization & Efficiency:

  • Build optimized workflows in PowerBI, utilizing import mode for performance, and focusing on lightweight visualizations that maximize efficiency.

  • Document best practices for PowerBI usage, contributing to the team's shared knowledge base.

 

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and ensure insights are aligned with business goals.

  • Communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels, adapting data storytelling techniques for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • As a Data Analyst you will play a pivotal role in data technology adoption and helping various business units to better leverage the data they collect, enrich and own.

  • As a Data Analyst you will contribute to the process and governance required by regulation (privacy, DORA, etc.)

 

Collaboration Framework:

  • Operate within agile frameworks, using tools like Jira to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience:

  • +3 years in a full-time data analyst role with data visualization tools focused on end-to-end data analysis and visualization.

  • +1 year in PowerBI with advanced proficiency in DAX and storytelling.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of PowerBI, data modeling, visualization, and DAX.

  • Strong SQL experience for querying and data preparation.

  • Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques is a plus.

  • Familiarity with the technical stack: Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Spark, Python.

  • Capacity to do data modeling with the Business Intelligence/Data Engineering is an interesting differentiator, even if it will not be the core activity.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills in English, able to present complex data to a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Depending on the based country, the country national language is required

  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.

 

Certifications:

  • Exam PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst

  • Old Exam 70-778: Analyzing and Visualizing Data by Using Microsoft Power BI

  • Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification
