Are you passionate about Data Management and eager to collaborate with Data Product Owners to deliver a comprehensive Enterprise Data Management capability? If collaborating across business lines, building trusted relationships and working with cutting-edge data practices excites you, this role at Aviva could be your perfect fit.
Data is the lifeblood of Aviva. With industry-leading analytics and significant investments to stay ahead, we endeavour to be at the forefront of modern Data Management practices. Join us in a large, successful business where supportive colleagues come together to harness the power of data. Our modern offices in London’s City and Hoxton districts, along with dynamic regional hubs in Norwich, Bristol, and York, offer innovative environments. Plus, our flexible “smart-working” policy ensures you can work where you need to be for success.
About the Job:
We are seeking a Data Management Specialist to drive the implementation of new Enterprise Data Services across Aviva Group. As a key member of the Group Chief Data Office, you will have the opportunity to shape and influence Data Management services, standards, and best practices. With the immediate focus being on Data Quality, your role will involve developing and enhancing processes, systems, and services to create a significant shift in our Data Management capabilities.
Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:
- Comprehensive understanding of the data lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with some data management disciplines, which include Data Quality, Metadata Management, User Access, Master and Reference Data Management, and the connections to Data Governance and Data Privacy.
- Practical knowledge and experience of embedding effective Data Management practices as part of a change and transformation project.
- Proven experience in using or implementing data management systems such as Informatica EDC/Axon, Alation, Collibra, Atacama, Precisely, Talend, Immuta, or similar is advantageous. Familiarity with one or more of these systems within cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP will be highly beneficial, as will experience with Snowflake.
- Ability to inform, influence and manage relationships with stakeholders and peers, including those less familiar with data concepts.
What you’ll get for this role:
Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too. And one of the ways we live up to that promise is by investing in you. We have so much to offer when it comes to being an Aviva colleague.
- Starting salary between £55,000 and £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity – which averages 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
- 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days
- Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts
- Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme
- Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave
- Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work
