Chief product owner - IT data analytics platform

Introduction

The chief product owner in the ASML data analytics platform is responsible for defining and delivering the product vision and strategy for the data analytics platform that supports the entire ASML organization. You will lead a team of product owners and work closely with the business stakeholders, the IT architects, the data engineers, the data scientists, and the software developers to deliver data-driven products and services that create value for our customers and our business.
 

Role and responsibilities

This role is situated in the Big Data Analytics Domain. Our people are proud to be best in class in translating business challenges into data & analytics solutions. For this Agile Release Train (ART), you will manage 9 teams who are divided in multiple services: infra, visualization and workspace.
 

A grasp of your responsibilities:

• Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the data analytics platform and align it with the business objectives and IT strategy
• Lead and coach a team of product owners and ensure they deliver value to the customers and the business
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog and ensure it is aligned with the product roadmap and the stakeholder needs
• Execute the product management role according to the SAFe framework, including facilitating PI planning, managing dependencies and risks, defining and prioritizing features and enablers, and participating in program increment reviews and demos
• Collaborate with the business stakeholders, the IT architects, the data engineers, the data scientists, and the software developers to deliver data-driven products and services that meet the quality standards and the customer expectations
   

Education and experience

In this CPO position you will manage multiple teams who are working on a wide arrange of different technologies. A chunk of the technologies is related to visualization (Spotfire, Grafana, SAC) and workspace (HANA, Azure, ASW GCP). Ideally you have a good affinity with cloud and data technologies and have already managed relevant data solutions platforms in other global, corporate environments. The strategic part of this role has emphasis on building a widely carried roadmap based on your vision combined with the vision of our department.

You bring the following background:

• Minimum of 10 years experience in product management, product  ownership or related field
• 5 years minimum experience in data analytics, data engineering, data science or related field
• Experience with data analytics platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP
• Previous experience with data analytics implementations in an enterprise environment is a must-have
• Knowledge of industry-related standards and regulations: e.g. GDPR, ISO 2700x, SAfe

Context of the position

The position is based in the Data Analytics Platform team. The employee will report directly to the (Sr) Manager of the Data Analytics Platform team.

The Chief Product Owner in the Data Analytics Platform works in close cooperation with the Head of AI in the Chief Data Office and the IT Enterprise Architects.
