• Implement the latest Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies into stable high-performance software to enable quality assurance in near-production industrial environments

• Significantly shape the development of our software for training and applying deep learning methods to feature and defect detection

• Enable our dynamic and highly motivated agile teams to provide AI-based workflows for optical, surface and X-ray metrology

• Align requirements for our corporate IT and development teams within the ZEISS Group

• Present your work results to product managers, business owners and business unit management

• A successfully completed degree in Computer Science / Mathematics / Physics / Electrical Engineering with a focus on 2D / 3D image processing (Computer Vision, Machine Learning) or a comparable qualification; a doctorate is an advantage

• Practical experience in AI-based generation of synthetic data or AI-based edge detection is an advantage

• Several years of professional experience in software development with Python, C++, and the Azure DevOps ecosystem (Git, Unit Tests, CI/CD)

• Enthusiasm for Clean Code, Design Principles, and modern programming paradigms

• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

• Strong communication skills, customer orientation, team spirit, hands-on mentality, as well as a self-reliant and organized approach
