What you will be doing in the role of a Data Science Program Administrator
The primary objective of the Program Administrator, Data Science, is to provide administrative support for Komen’s Data Science team and its programs, including ShareForCures (SFC), Komen’s breast cancer research registry.
What you will bring to the table
- Perform a broad range of administrative activities including scheduling, meeting planning and logistics (online and in-person), and communication across multiple program sites and time zones. Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and budgets. Create new template documents, materials, presentations, reports, and other assets, as assigned.
- Provide administrative support for and coordinate meetings, including scheduling, distributing materials, taking, and summarizing notes, and following up on action items, as assigned.
- Support administration of service contracts, consultant agreements, grant agreements, and other types of agreements. Prepares or assists with preparation of materials and progress and financial reports to support donor stewardship and other revenue generating activities.
- Ensure complete and accurate records are captured and compliance is maintained. Coordinate with Sr. Project Manager, Data Science to ensure consistency with department and organization policies and procedures.
- Help with making travel arrangements and managing related documentation. Track expenses and assist with identifying budget variances. Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments and expense reimbursements.

- Manage the collection, data entry, and monitoring of staff time and effort reports to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Coordinates vetting process of new grantees, speakers, consultants, and other entities through Komen Accounting.
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver on specific programmatic needs, including program monitoring and evaluation, and coordinating ongoing internal/external communications as needed. Assist with collecting information and creating content about Komen’s data science programs for press releases, blogs, social media, and other platforms.
- Support the execution of all research activities in compliance with conducting research with human subjects and with all Komen’s policies and procedures. Escalate significant issues to Sr. Project Manager, Data Science or Sr. Director, Data Science, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned and on time.
We know you will have and be able to
- Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years or administrative experience
- Strong organizational and administrative skills; detail oriented. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to perform in a large, complex workflow with multiple deadlines, data points, and priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications (writing and speaking) skills. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at different organizational levels and from all walks of life. Instinctive service and customer relationship skills.
- Intermediate level of computer/technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint required. Proficiency with contact management (Salesforce) and collaboration tools (Asana) preferred.
- Self-motivated and willing to take responsibility and ownership for timely and high-quality work. Ability to follow instructions and execute plans.
- A team-oriented attitude, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and proven ability to work in a matrixed, global organization with remote staff.
- Shows positive approach to work, flexibility, innovation, cultural awareness, sensitivity to relationships, and confidentiality.
We would love if you also have
- Strong knowledge of administrative procedures, planning, communication, and project tracking. Project management skills and/or certification a plus.
- Experience in business relations, partnerships, and/or communications with diverse stakeholders, such as external advisory boards, patients, community-based organizations, and alliances.
- Experience in complex meeting planning and direct interaction with volunteer base.
- Experience in non-profit program administration, including in planning and implementing multiple projects, preferably in a health or disease-focused organization.
- Proficiency in Spanish (oral and written) a plus.

- Approximate hourly rate $21.54 to $28.21, exact compensation ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location.
