BI Developer

Join a long-term project for a leading insurance client a BI Developer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering robust business and portfolio analytics while supporting client and business strategy development.

• This is a hybrid role - London or Manchester
• Target start date - February 2025

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key insights effectively.
• Analyze internal and external data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Prepare client-specific presentations and strategic pitch decks.
• Collaborate with various departments and analytics teams to provide critical decision-making information.
• Support strategic meetings by delivering conceptual input and performance insights.
• Drive innovation in reporting, storytelling, and data visualization for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer.
• Previous experience in corporate finance, capital markets, or consulting is a plus.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, and other BI tools.
• Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, 
• Familiarity with Databricks, and/or LLMs (Large Language Models) for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of data visualization and storytelling through dashboards and complex data models.
• Ability to create insightful reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data-driven narratives.
