The Impact You'll Be Contributing to Moloco:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Senior Data Scientist - to join Moloco's Metrics team. In this role you will partner with data scientists, engineers, PMs, and marketing across the company to improve and amplify our use of data and machine learning in order to derive better insights on our users and our business. In this role, you will work on developing metrics, investigating metric trends, productionizing metrics and insights into self-service tools. The ideal candidate will have the right mix of hard and soft skills that allows them to conduct rigorous analysis, mentor junior data scientists, present findings to the leadership, provide tactical or strategic advice on the business and so on.

In this role, you will:

  • Shape the direction of some of our key data science areas via metric related work, including aggregation, segmentation, investigation, attribution, etc.
  • Effectively communicate actionable insights to all levels of the organization with varying degrees of data science understanding and backgrounds.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists on technical solutions, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment within the team.
  • Represent the metric data science field throughout the organization via standardizing the metrics across the company, having a powerful voice to make us more data-driven.
  • Build self-serving data science products to make analytics simpler within the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data science initiatives that align with business goals, and communicate insights and recommendations to collaborators in a clear and actionable way.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Data Science and Marketing to understand metric usage and trends and make data-driven decisions and recommendations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, computer science, etc.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, or Data Science Manager.
  • Experience working on metric related projects.
  • Expertise with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Mode or looker) and proficiency in a programming language such as Python.
  • Resilience and agility to react and communicate fast, prioritizing time on the most impactful projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas and results to non-technical customers and leadership.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional projects, managing collaborators, and driving impact with data-driven insights. Management experience is a plus.

Our Compensation And Benefits (for United States Residents Only)

In accordance with various state laws, the range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. We also offer a competitive benefits package.

Base Pay Range:$167,200—$205,000 USD
