Responsibilities

  • Understand data needs and requirements from stakeholders, document the requirements, and investigate and analyze data sources
  • Build semantic models for the purposes of reporting and other consumption
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries including the classification and categorization of data
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures specifically around structured data
  • Establish and monitor data quality and usage metrics
  • Present complex data in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a data analyst role with a focus on data governance, classification, and categorization
  • Experience using data management tools including data cataloging, categorization and master data management
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed business requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview and Fabric are an asset
  • Experience in Semantic Modelling and Power BI report development would be an asset
  • Knowledge of/or experience in the accounting industry is considered an asset but not required
