We are looking for a Digital Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will lead a range of analytics projects, with a primary focus on enhancing the performance of our e-commerce website. Collaborating with other analysts, you will leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to deliver actionable insights that drive results.

Using tools like Amplitude Analytics, Content Square, Looker Studio, and Medallia, you will monitor and report on marketing campaigns, website optimisation efforts, and overall digital performance. As a key resource for the team, you will ensure that data-driven insights inform every digital decision. This includes developing performance measurement frameworks, supporting digital initiatives, and improving data quality across the board.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and analyse performance measurement frameworks:

    1. Design comprehensive measurement frameworks for digital initiatives, including marketing and one-off projects.

    2. Conduct detailed data analysis to provide actionable insights and drive continuous improvement.

    3. Collaborate with teams on performance measurement for various projects..

  2. Identify trends and opportunities for stakeholders:

    1. Take existing datasets and provide in-depth analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

    2. Present findings in a way that empowers stakeholders to take data-driven actions.

    3. Feed insights into local teams to evolve strategies or into the global product team for experimentation.

  3. Drive Insights through Data Analysis and Testing

    1. Bring expertise in either A/B testing OR Commercial Analysis, with a willingness to grow skills in other areas to become a well-rounded contributor.

    2. Collaborate with central teams to influence and prioritize A/B testing opportunities that align with local customer insights and business needs.

    3. Analyze results from A/B tests to validate outcomes, ensuring accurate measurement and actionable recommendations.

    4. Conduct commercial analysis, including target setting, forecasting, promotional performance evaluation, and basic P&L assessments, to support strategic decision-making.

    5. Present insights from testing and analysis clearly to stakeholders, demonstrating their impact on business performance and customer experience.

  4. Train others on digital tools and analysis:

    1. Adapt training programs to meet the unique needs of different teams, tailoring sessions for varying skill levels and use cases.

    2. Develop and deliver targeted courses, such as advanced Amplitude Analytics training, while providing one-on-one support for complex tool usage.

    3. Promote and track the impact of self-serve analysis across the broader UK team, demonstrating efficiencies like reduced ad-hoc requests and improved focus on strategic priorities.

    4. Encourage a culture of data literacy by creating accessible resources and fostering regular engagement with digital tools.

  5. Improve data quality for digital products:

    1. Ensure high data quality for digital products by monitoring, debugging, and resolving issues.

    2. Conduct QA for tracking fixes and collaborate with technical teams to maintain data integrity.

    3. Support super users in maintaining data quality and understanding its impact on analysis.

  6. Expand analytical skill set and data utilisation:

    1. Master new and existing data sources, focusing on improving data architecture.

    2. Collaborate with technical teams to integrate data sources for business value.

    3. Apply advanced analytics to digital data sets using SQL, Databricks, and other tools.

    4. Ensure any relevant tools are onboarded to the correct, broader team, along with the output required for these colleagues.

 

THE PROFILE WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

  • A passion for numbers, analysis, and uncovering the “so what” and the “whys”.

  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Amplitude Analytics, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.

  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools, such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Strong capabilities in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Experience in either:

    • A/B testing (digital optimisation, user journey analysis, and actionable insights), or

    • Commercial analysis (target setting, forecasting, promotional evaluations, and basic P&L understanding).

  • Some experience with SQL.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data 

 

  • NICE TO HAVE:

  1. A general awareness of digital marketing 

  2. A/B testing / digital optimisation experience and/or Commercial analysis

  3. Experience using Content Square and/or Medallia

  4. A Level or equivalent in Mathematics / STEM degree is a plus

  5. Some knowledge of statistics

  6. Experience with Google Tag Manager

  7. Experience in using Python for data analysis

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This hybrid role would require the successful candidate to attend at least three days a week in our offices in London (Surrey Quays).
