Data Engineer (f/m/d).

Our company is undergoing a global, digital transformation process. As part of the Development team you will be responsible to ensure data storage, security and and governance.

Your responsibilities

• Data Transformation: You will design, develop and maintain reliable and scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform and store data.
• Data Modeling: You will develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models that meet business requirements to ensure data accuracy, consistency and availability for various data-related use cases.
• Data Analytics: You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create scalable data pipelines for advanced analytics and predictive modeling.
• Data storage: You will evaluate and select appropriate data storage solutions with scalability, performance and economics in mind.
• Data security and privacy: You will implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Data governance: You will implement and further develop data governance policies, standards and procedures to ensure data quality, compliance and consistency across the organization.
• Collaboration: To provide clean and accessible data and also to ensure data ownership and acoountability, you will collaborate with data scientist and other departments NKG-wide. You will also work with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and implement according solutions.

Your profile

• Education: You have an university degree in informatics, business informatics, data science or a similar qualification.
• Background: You can convince us with proven expertise in data modeling, data storage, data security and governance.
• Technical Know-How: You have a strong knowledge of relational databases e.g. PostgresSQL, SQL Server, and you are familiar with tools like Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric.
• Soft skills: You are a team player with both excellent interpersonal and strong analytical skills as well as a solution-driven way of working.
• It's international: You have experience in working in an international environment and are fluent in English (C1).
