Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Devises and maintains efficient methods to track student data, quantify student engagement, and report on student outcomes. Reports will include both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Uses data to solve complex data problems, and evaluates and monitors success of career programs and initiatives designed to support students throughout their College experience.
- Leverages in-depth knowledge on University programs, student lifecycles and best practices to contextualize data insights, conducting visual storytelling and supporting strategic planning/road mapping.
- Designs and executes evaluation and data collection plans, working with staff across the office to draft best practices and policies around data collection.
- Utilizes technical tools, including Excel and CRM technology such as Salesforce, to conduct analysis and visualization of data to generate data reports on both a recurring and ad hoc basis, as requested by internal and external stakeholders.
- General administrative, advising, and programming responsibilities including, but not limited to, committee membership, one-on-one advising appointments with students, meetings with colleagues, toolkit and resource development, participating in all-hands-on-deck programs, and other duties as assigned.
- Uses best practices and database knowledge to determine the impact of making database changes on other systems and the staff cost for making such changes. Solves complex database problems and modifies database programs to increase processing performance.
- Develops reports and files to display requested information, including on-screen links to other screens. Provides guidance on various report writer access, database views, and storage procedures related to all databases. Acts as a resource for the user community by responding to special data needs and questions.

Preferred Qualifications
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
- Skilled with data cleaning/ETL processes.
- Proficient with data project management, including requirement gathering and user interfacing strongly preferred.
- Avanced skills in Excel, including use of Excel formulas and pivot tables to process and analyze data.
- Prior experience with CRM technology, knowledge of Salesforce is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to master database programs and shared scheduling system and learn new technologies.
- Familiarity with a visual analytics tool such as Tableau, SAP Business Objects, or Microsoft Power BI strongly preferred.

- Agile work style with an ability to manage micro and macro-objectives and execute multiple objectives concurrently with a high level of attention to detail.
- Confidentiality with student information and other sensitive data.
- Provide high quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Current or previous experience communicating and interacting with clients and/or senior level employees or constituents.
- Superior oral and written communications skills, including excellent presentation skills.
- Engage with a variety of constituents from many different cultural backgrounds
Working Conditions
- Work evenings, occasional additional weeknight and weekend days.
- Travel two to three times per year.
