About the role

V2 Digital is seeking a talented Power BI Engineer (Contractor) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to unlocking transformative value through experience-led solutions that are deeply informed by insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards that provide insightful data visualizations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
  • Optimize data models and performance for Power BI reports to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and validation checks on Power BI data sources.
  • Implement security measures for report access and data confidentiality according to organizational policies.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve BI solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on how to utilize Power BI effectively for their specific needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Power BI or similar business intelligence tools to create reports and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced data calculations and analytics in Power BI.
  • Proficient in SQL and able to write complex queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and present findings.
