Developer Advocate

SambaNova Suite™ is the first full-stack, generative AI platform, from chip to model, optimized for enterprise and government organizations. Powered by the intelligent SN40L chip, the SambaNova Suite is a fully integrated platform, delivered on-premises or in the cloud, combined with state-of-the-art open-source models that can be easily and securely fine-tuned using customer data for greater accuracy. Once adapted with customer data, customers retain model ownership in perpetuity, so they can turn generative AI into one of their most valuable assets.

We have an amazing product and we're looking for a Developer Advocate to help spread the word to developers. In this role, you will establish relationships with developers around the world and create new resources to help them build on our platform. You will foster our developer community, advocate for developer's needs internally and influence our roadmap.

To succeed in this role, you must have technical skills to use and demonstrate best practices for our SambaNova Cloud. You must be passionate about sharing this knowledge with others through tutorials, video snippets, docs contributions, hackathon mentorship, and social posts. This role reports into the marketing department and our team is growing fast and the customers are growing even faster. You must be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create marketing content such as tutorials, demos, or videos to help teach and engage self-serve users of SambaNova Cloud. 
• Engage with users on SambaNova forums, social channels, and local hackathons to answer common questions and help them get started with Pinecone.
• Proactively create instructional materials (content, videos, and code samples) for our docs, social profiles, and community forums.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product to influence the product roadmap as the “voice of the community.”
• Work with technology partners to build examples and prototypes to showcase our better together story.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a technical role such as software/ML engineering, sales/solutions engineering, technical program management, etc.
• Experience with JavaScript and/or Python coding and/or scripting.
• Strong knowledge of modern AI tech stacks (i.e. LLMs, vector databases, evaluation tools, etc.).
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel 10–20% of the year throughout the US for events.
• Ability to work in our Palo Alto office at least 1-2 days per week. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of developer advocacy experience highly preferred. 
• Experience working within a high growth technology startup environment.

Annual Salary Range and Level
The base salary for this position ranges from $130k per year up to $180k per year. This range is based on role, level, and location and reflects the salary target for new hires in the US. Individual pay within the range will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s job-related qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
