Summary

The BI Developer role is responsible for Power BI Report Development and focus on the Microsoft data stack. The role will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that meet our organization’s needs alongside other technical resources on the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and end-user adoption 
• Utilize Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) queries for complex data analysis and calculations in centralized Power BI Semantic Models 
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather business requirements needed to build analytics/visualizations and translate them into technical specifications 
• Partner with business stakeholders to determine roles and responsibilities for schedule, testing, deployment and adoption of analytics and reporting visualizations 
• Integrate data from various sources, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and other Microsoft technologies 
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all BI solutions 
• Provide support and troubleshooting for BI solutions, addressing any issues that arise
• Stay current with the latest BI trends and technologies to continuously improve our BI capabilities 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field 
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience and/or training in Microsoft Power BI Development, including DAX 
• Strong background in the Microsoft technology stack, particularly Azure or Fabric Technology 
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred 
• Proficient in Kimball data modeling techniques 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices preferred 
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and methodologies preferred 

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

• Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
• Bonus Pay: 5% of Annual Salary
