Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a PhD degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in recommendation systems, survival analysis, NLP, and prompt engineering.

About the job

In this role, you will be heavily involved in evaluating live experiments of new product features, partnering with Product Managers (PMs) to find and size growth opportunities, reporting impact, and conducting research to better understand user friction, user engagement, and user needs. You will be focused on proactively providing timely and useful information to users across Search and Discover and will be involved in A/B testing, analyzing both observational and experimental data, modeling, finding and sizing growth opportunities, estimating impact, and working closely with the hiring manager. You will be learning in a user focused changing environment, and work with product and cross-functional partners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $127,000-$187,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new product features using experimental data.
  • Metric development and analysis of log data and investigate large metric movements.
  • Partner with Product Manager (PMs), Engineers, Program Manager (PgMs) and various cross-functional partners to provide actionable insights and help them achieve team goals.
  • Analyze and model both observational and experimental data and identify user frictions and unmet user needs.
  • Identify insights, growth opportunities, track and measure impact.
