Senior Data Architect - Data Migration

As an Senior Data Architect you will:

The Senior Data Architect will work with HSO customers, with regular customer-facing and on-site contact. Good customer awareness is essential to be able to fulfil the breadth of the role. The Senior Data Architect will take a leading role in supporting the design and implementation of solutions for our customers and will be a key contributor throughout the entire project life cycle, and into prospect/customer engagement, the Cloud Services Team, and the Project Team. Alongside the team, you are tasked with finding and delivering the best solution for the prospect/customer utilizing the full breadth of the D365 product and the rest of the Microsoft Azure stack.

You will provide modelling and analytical direction for all end-to-end elements of the solution design for our customers and will ensure cost-effective, high quality and controlled delivery of the customers requirements.

*Travel required. Travel will be extensive to various locations. There is an expectation that this role will be part of the project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be part of HSO Project Team  focused on implementing Dynamics 365 (D365) solutions for clients.
• Support the architectural definition of a solution which can provide business intelligence and reporting landscape encompassing strategic, analytical, operational and compliance reports throughout the business
• Provide architectural modelling and documentation for the solution being implemented, ensuring that the rationale behind decisions is clearly communicated within the project team and customer.
• Design smart data systems to drive business forecasts, predictions, and informed decision-making.
• Develop and implement data migration strategies from legacy systems to D365 apps.
• Design and implement master data management solutions, including data stores and distribution strategies.
• Design and execution of proof-of-concept solutions.
• Serve as the liaison between customer technical teams, internal technical teams, and development teams to address queries and issues related to D365 architecture.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Architects to ensure the design aligns with customer requirements and maximizes D365 functionality.
• Oversee the implementation process, ensuring adherence to agreed architectural designs.
• Produce comprehensive systems architecture and design documentation in line with HSO’s standards.
• Apply HSO’s project delivery methodology to all projects, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction.
• Assist in data migration between production and non-production environments.
• Maintain a professional and positive representation of HSO in all interactions.
• Stay current with Microsoft certifications and D365 products through self-learning and external conferences.
• Promote emerging technologies that could provide a competitive advantage to HSO.

Essential:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics AX 2012, D365, SAP, Azure solutions, AWS).
• Proven experience in data migration, integration leadership, and designing data architectures.
• Strong knowledge of D365 apps, Common Data Service, Power Query, SSIS, ETL processes, and related technologies.
• Expertise in Microsoft tools for data management, integration, and orchestration (e.g., OData, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Data Integrator, Azure Functions).
• Understanding of middleware and integration architectures using Azure or third-party tools.
• Proficiency in data architecture tools and techniques to handle peak data volumes securely and efficiently.
• Good understanding of data compliance regulations, including GDPR.
• Experience with BI tools and defining KPIs to enable BI and AI solutions.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Awareness of project management principles and ERP system implementation methodologies.
• Ability to identify and learn emerging technologies independently and share knowledge with internal teams.
• Confidence to become a trusted advisor to both internal teams and customers.
