Reports To: Director of Plant Operations

Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to partner with the Operations Analyst to analyze data that supports production departments and develop reports that track operational efficiencies, contributing to the organization’s bottom line. This role will also leverage technology to create processes and procedures that drive process improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the Operations Analyst in estimating manufacturing times, staffing requirements, and related costs.
  • Collaborate with the New Product Development team to ensure efficient workflows within the Project Management Software from Stage Gate processes to product launch.
  • Partner with Regulatory Compliance to investigate anomalies, identify root causes, and resolve issues when product losses fall outside acceptable ranges.
  • Act as the principal liaison between Operations and New Product Development to facilitate communication, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with production capabilities.
  • Monitor and analyze the production schedule, working closely with Scheduling to recommend adjustments that optimize efficiency.
  • Create and maintain documentation for production procedures and reports.
  • Monitor and communicate potential production issues to other PDC departments, including Scheduling, Customer Service, Blending, Production, and Maintenance.
  • Update and create new USDP items in ACE to support line operations by analyzing new packages and updating existing products to ensure accurate pricing for customers.
  • Conduct analysis to support monthly financial statement reviews, focusing on expenses and variances.
  • Train and assist Production Supervisors and EOL employees on Oracle (ACE) production reports and data entry processes.
  • Assist production management staff with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, including analyzing Bottling and Blending reports for accuracy before posting, investigating discrepancies, and making corrections as needed.
  • Serves as a backup to Production Supervisor as needed.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement, including process improvement and lean manufacturing activities.
  • Strong knowledge of production operations.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities.
  • Associate degree or equivalent post-secondary training.
  • 2-4+ years of related work experience in a manufacturing/packaging environment.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education & Experience:

Lean Manufacturing training is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does not have direct reports.

Work Location & Travel Required:
This position works a hybrid work schedule, reporting to the Princeton site a minimum of 2-3 days per week or as needed. Minimal travel required (<5%).

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a manufacturing setting (office and production floor). Must be able to tolerate working in a noisy environment while utilizing proper PPE. This position requires regular standing on hard surfaces for extended periods and walking throughout the facility. The ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time and the dexterity to frequently type on a keyboard is also required.
