Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join us in creating solutions which enable business using facts to follow up the business performance and predict future business conditions with the help of data.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, modeling data for reporting and analytical use cases and building reporting solutions. You will cooperate closely with the business stakeholders to refine the business requests.


You will work in Operations Digitalisation & Data Services team in Biomaterials division, and possible locations are Helsinki or Imatra in Finland, or Ostrava in the Czech Republic. You will report to Head of Operations Digitalisation & Data Services. We apply hybrid way of working.

In this key role, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data models and pipelines
  • Build business intelligence solutions with Power BI
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across data platform

Skills we expect you to have:

  • Previous experience working as a data engineer or a data analyst
  • Proficient in SQL programming with expertise in dbt and Snowflake
  • Hands-on experience in data modeling utilizing best practises
  • Hands-on knowledge from Power BI
  • Experience of agile development and version control (Azure DevOps, Jira or equivalent)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams
  • Degree in Information Management and Data Analytics or equivalent
  • Knowledge of SAP data structures is seen as an advantage
