Senior Manager, People Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Sr. Manager, People Science Consultant to join our dynamic People Analytics team. This role is pivotal in driving strategic decisions through data-driven insights and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient in manipulating data and possess a deep understanding of the latest trends and technologies in people analytics.

Provides deep analytical support and expertise to a number of areas and mentors more junior colleagues. Interfaces regularly with executive (VP+) leadership.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Drive the demand engine of People Analytics, proactively identifying business priorities and collaborating with senior partners. 

  • Understand and translate business priorities into technical requirements and analytical insights that drive action for the business. 

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis. 

  • Serve as a thought leader in people analytics, staying updated with the latest trends and technologies. Assist in defining the people analytics and people team strategy. 

  • Conduct advanced data analysis to test, uncover trends, patterns, and insights related to workforce metrics, whilst applying advanced visualization techniques. 

  • Lead, manage, and own analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality by completing projects and deliverables within agreed timelines. 

  • Monitor and flag data quality (integrity, accuracy, and security) in all analytics processes. 

  • Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts and other team members on best practices in data analysis and reporting, ultimately attracting and retaining team talent. 

  • Utilize statistical software, data visualization tools, and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau to build scalable solutions. 

  • Select and design the right predictive model for existing datasets. Identify opportunities in partnership with our People Science team to leverage machine learning and AI in driving insights and implementing change in HR. 

  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data sets into clear, business-focused stories. 

  • Continuously seek ways to improve analytics processes and methodologies. 

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • You are an experienced people analytics professional who addresses problems strategically and scientifically, has a proactive mindset, and you are a technologist using the tools and resources at your disposal to drive the business forward. 

  • MA/MS in Data Science, Business Administration, Economics, Information/Computer Science, or equivalent related professional experience. 

  • Passion for and experience in People Analytics. 

  • 6-7 years of customer-facing business analyst or consulting experience required, HR experience strongly preferred. 

  • Ability to craft leading insights at various organizational levels and for varying personas. 

  • Deep experience using Tableau, R, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint, specifically related to working with large data sets to visualize data, glean trends, and build analyses and insights. 

  • High attention to detail and excellent at deriving simple narratives from complex, unstructured data. 

  • Experience with tools or languages such as Python, people analytics platforms, Trino, predictive modeling, and other big data technologies preferred. 

  • Proven business savviness, political agility, and critical thinking. 

  • Robust storytelling and communication skills capable of delivering and presenting analysis to both analytical and broad audiences. 

  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and work with all levels of the organization, influencing senior leaders to take action on data. 

  • Appetite for hands-on experience with an innovative mindset. 

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
