Role description: To provide data management, reporting and insight analytics, empowering the business to track and influence Scope 3 travel carbon emissions against externally committed reduction targets. Highlight and quantify opportunities for the business to act and drive the required behaviours in their business activities to deliver to Arcadis’ Sustainability targets and broader mission of improving quality of life.

Role accountabilities:

• Data Management – Extract, Transform and Load Data and ongoing upkeep of data accuracy for core travel data sets – ensuring accuracy of People and Project Data through collaboration with Global People and Projects Analytics teams. As needed enrich the travel data with other GBA/EF specific metrics to enhance the usability of the reporting e.g. EBITDA​
• Data Modelling - Ongoing mapping of travel data to Arcadis People and Project Hierarchy data sets, with more data likely to follow in due course.​
• Reporting – Creation and upkeep of a suite of reports and dashboards which provide actionable insights and trend analysis for Travel Emissions against reduction and carbon budget targets​
• Analytics - Analysis of large data sets and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets​
• Stakeholder Engagement – Requirements gathering, communication and collaboration with BADs/BUDs and other core stakeholders as a champion for Arcadis sustainable travel reduction targets and strategies; upskill and inform stakeholders of the sustainability toolkit and reporting suites available

Qualifications & Experience:

• Data Management and Modelling. Experience managing large data sets. Ability to identify data errors and determine the best course of action to correct the data.​
• Data Visualisation – Ability to create Dashboards which present key trends from large, complex data sets.​
• Strong adaptability to data analytics and visualization tools and story telling using data to create appealing and intuitive dashboards for stakeholders​
• Data trend analysis and Insight Analytics.​
• Understanding of Arcadis People and Project Hierarchies and BI systems – Oracle ERP, HCM, Thrust Carbon​
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, PowerApps)​
• High level proficiency using Microsoft Power BI (or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel​
• Knowledge of SQL or Python would be beneficial​
• Critical thinking, creativity and flexibility to provide the greatest level of data assurance possible, with a focus on continuous improvement to evolve the business analytics support within the dynamic, innovative new area of carbon budgets and data insights​
• Team player, can work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively and require limited supervision
