What will I be doing?

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Business Intelligence (BI) Senior Manager with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will drive data-driven decision-making by integrating cutting-edge AI solutions into BI strategies, transforming business insights into competitive advantages. You will lead a team of data analysts, BI developers, and AI specialists, ensuring the organization maximizes the use of data and AI technologies for strategic growth and operational efficiency.

  • Oversee the creation of a data warehouse/data lake from various departments.
  • Lead and develop the BI team in creating, maintaining, and improving data analytics, visualization, and reporting frameworks.
  • Develop the strategy for data value chain and predictive modeling in alignment with the organization’s overall vision.
  • Integrate AI/ML tools into existing BI systems to optimize predictive analytics, automation, and forecasting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI-driven BI strategies with business goals and objectives.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable BI solutions that leverage AI to provide actionable insights and streamline processes.
  • Monitor and analyze data trends and patterns, providing insights to senior leadership to drive business decisions.
  • Evaluate and implement new AI technologies to enhance data extraction, processing, and interpretation.
  • Design the overall strategy for the organization’s dashboards with meaningful KPIs and metrics.
  • Design ad-hoc intelligent environment to allow various department to drill down into greater details and discover what is affecting performance, uncover root causes, and identify trends.
  • Oversee data governance and quality control processes to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable reporting.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in BI, AI, and machine learning technologies, bringing innovative solutions to the organization.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and data warehousing modeling (e.g., dimensional).
  • Demonstrated experience with AI and machine learning tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure ML, or similar platforms).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Proven track record of integrating AI/ML models into BI frameworks to enhance business decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and advanced analytics.
  • A passion for innovation, with a strong focus on improving business processes through technology.

Do you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study.
  • 10 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • PMP certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles, with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and working with large datasets.
  • Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or other advanced AI applications.
  • Project management experience in delivering end-to-end BI/AI projects.
  • Experience working with transportation agencies, air quality or environmental agencies, or local or regional government, (MPO experience preferred).
  • Professional certifications or licenses such as CPA, CBA, etc. (Preferred).
