The Role

We are looking for a Senior Investment Strategist to join our growing Investment Advisory Solutions (IAS) team! As a Strategy Leader, you will be a player-coach to a fast-growing team and a client-facing technical expert in multi-asset portfolios.

The IAS team provides non-discretionary investment advice to family offices, institutional investors, and investment advisors via AS Investment Management, LLC (ASIM), Addepar’s wholly-owned Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). Addepar's proprietary data and technology enable us to build analytics. These analytics help identify areas for portfolio improvement and design strategies to potentially increase returns. Your role will include participating in all aspects of the business, such as creating diagnostics, investment strategies, and meeting with clients.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $175,000 - $225,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Engage with existing clients to understand their unique circumstances, investment objectives, constraints, and apply portfolio analytics to support investment decisions and portfolio outcomes.
  • Perform analysis on a broad range of topics, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management.
  • Deliver actionable portfolio insights through a blend of quantitative and qualitative analysis methodologies.
  • Develop prototypes and analytical capabilities using advanced statistical, quantitative, or econometric techniques based on feedback from existing clients and institutional investors.
  • Lead business development efforts through the creation of presentation material and new business pitches.
  • Present at client meetings, roadshows, sales and due diligence calls, industry conferences, internal and external video content.

Who You Are

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in asset management or investment consulting, such as portfolio strategy, portfolio management, investment consultant, or risk management.
  • Broad understanding of most asset classes and markets with direct experience in alternative asset classes (e.g. private equity and venture capital)
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a consistent record of articulating complex topics clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrable track record working with institutional investors is a requirement; experience in the Wealth segment is a plus.
  • Strong Python programming skills, a foundation in statistics and previous experience with Databricks is a plus

PHISHING SCAM WARNING: Addepar is among several companies recently made aware of a phishing scam involving con artists posing as hiring managers recruiting via email, text and social media. The imposters are creating misleading email accounts, conducting remote “interviews,” and making fake job offers in order to collect personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Please be aware that no job offers will be made from Addepar without a formal interview process. Additionally, Addepar will not ask you to purchase equipment or supplies as part of your onboarding process. If you have any questions, please reach out to TAinfo@addepar.com.
