Senior Data Engineer for Danica Data Products

Do you wish to work in a newly established data product department together with the rest of the Danica organization?

Danica is a subsidiary of Danske Bank group, and one of the largest pension providers in Denmark. A new strategy where Data Products and AI is at the heart is under way in Danica, and we are therefore looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join us. The team will be in both Lithuania and Denmark, and once fully established will consist of 10-12 employees.

There is no existing setup, and no services is owned by the unit. You will therefore need to bring your entrepreneurial mindset.

You will:

We are looking for a set of people that collectively can lift the below. It is therefore important that you see yourself as someone who can lift a number of these tasks.

• Drive best practices for how we build and model data products on AWS
• Develop new data products in close collaboration with the domains in Danica
• Drive excellency and be a mentor on data engineering and data products
• Provide input to architects on the services we need and assist on setting up these
• Learn and adopt new technologies together as they become available on AWS or through other partnerships (Databricks, Snowflake etc.)
• Glue it all together by deploying CI/CD pipelines
• Work in an agile framework

About you:

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles with proficiency in at least one programming language suitable for ETL development (Python preferred)
• Have experience with some of these, data quality and testing frameworks, building containers, Git, IaC and CI/CD
• Preferably have worked with cloud native services on AWS
• You are familiar with data modelling and common design patterns
• Have knowledge of ingestion patterns and streaming technologies
• Solid communication and collaboration skills
• Upper-Intermediate English language skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 4480 EUR to 6720 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
