Stoneridge, Inc. seeks Senior Al Algorithm Developer in Novi, MI.

Duties: The Senior AI Algorithm Developer will work closely with our engineering team to develop advanced AI features for Stoneridge’s award-winning product MirrorEye®. Key features to be developed for the MirrorEye® system include camera calibrations, image stitching, trailer feature detection and object detection. The system solution will be included in multiple production projects for commercial vehicles worldwide. This role will focus on the development of AI algorithm including compute vision, deep learning, object tracking, etc. Additional responsibilities will include data collection, system simulation, data analysis and vehicle testing. Work closely with Lead engineers in the development of level1 (ADAS) autonomous driving feature system and MirrorEye viewing feature. Develop cutting-edge AI algorithms, e.g., computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, object tracking based on Kalman filter, etc. with Model-based design methodology for automotive system development. Work with System / Software teams to integrate and verify that developed features meet functional requirements on the embedded target environment. Build simulations using IPG CarMaker tool and other simulation tools. Perform data analysis with feature testing logs and write up testing report. Work on IP development / patent application. Define test methodology using DoE (Design of Experiment) and join vehicle testing.

Requires a Master's degree in Computer science, Mechanical Engineering, AI, or related field plus 2 years of experience as AI algorithm development, or research or related occupations. Requires 2 years of experience with the following: Coding using MATLAB, C++, C; Modeling using MATLAB/ Simulink; Simulation using Simulink; AI development, or research. Telecommuting permitted. Less than 10% International travel required to Stoneridge facilities and technical centers. Less than 10% Domestic travel within the U.S. to potential customers.
