The Headlines:   

In the role of Associate ML Engineer working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Information Technology team reporting to the Sr. Mgr Data Platforms & Engineering. You will help implement our short and long-term ML strategy. You will have the ability to grow and learn within the ML space and would be a great opportunity for an entry level ML Engineer enthusiast. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, data science, and operations, to integrate ML solutions into our products and services.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Model Development: Assist in developing, training, and deploying machine learning models under the guidance of senior engineers                        
  • Data Preparation: Help in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data for model training and evaluation.                       
  • Algorithm Implementation: Implement basic machine learning algorithms and techniques to solve specific problems.                          
  • Testing & Validation: Participate in testing and validating models to ensure accuracy and performance.                           
  • Documentation: Document processes, models, and experiments to maintain clear and organized records.                 
  • Learning & Development: Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence.      

 

The Other Qualifications: 

 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, data mathematics, or related field OR equivalent experience (4+ years) 
  • You have at least 1-3 years experience in data and ML engineering
  • You have knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R, and familiarity with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Pandas, NumPy).                                     
  • You possess basic understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.                                        
  • You have an understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts and algorithms.                      
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in data and machine learning.                                  
  • You have demonstrated passion for learning and growing in the field of machine learning.      
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.                                                                              
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome  
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments  
  • You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow
