As the Data Integration Delivery Lead, your primary responsibility will be understanding the customer's needs and priorities and developing solutions that align with business goals. You will collaborate with business and IT teams to define complex data projects and propose the most suitable approaches, methodologies, and architectures. In addition, you will closely cooperate with the technical platform team, providing insight and feedback about the Data Engineering platform used during development and cooperating on the constant improvement of the Data Engineering ecosystem. 

 

You will oversee multiple project teams throughout the system lifecycle, from gathering requirements to implementing solutions. Working closely with clients, value team leaders, divisional IT leads, and the Enterprise Architecture team, your objective will be to deliver high-quality work products and deliverables. You will also play a key role in risk assessment, change management, and ensuring the successful delivery of project technical requirements. You will communicate project status to senior client leadership, fostering effective collaborations and maintaining client satisfaction. 

 

Additionally, you will lead a team of data engineers and be responsible for driving their professional and personal development. You will also be responsible for global Tech center cooperation, with a focus on aligning ways of working and effective Tech center cooperation worldwide. 

 

What will you do in this role:  

  • Leverage the toolset utilized by various types of Data Engineers, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional data teams across the organization.  

  • Drive and manage the team of data engineers and synchronize multiple delivery teams’ ways of working. 

  • Develop both short-term and long-term strategies for the delivery teams, make a long-term agreement with the customer, and take responsibility for long-term team utilization. 

  • Collaborate with peers in the "Data Integration" and "Central Data and Analytics" teams to provide feedback about the toolset and help define product strategies and overall analytical directions, mainly based on the experience and feedback from the delivery. 

  • Define and implement data engineering strategies that align with organizational goals and data governance standards.   

  • Engage with key stakeholders across the division to gain insight into short-term and long-term business objectives and value delivery strategies.  

  • Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.  

  • Connect with external partners and thought leaders to stay current on the latest technologies and trends in Data Engineering.  

  • Help to drive consolidation efforts across various tools and customer bases.  

  • Plan activities based on the organization's needs, emerging trends, and Central Data and Analytics organization’s vision.  

  • Build, nurture, and support subject matter experts, managing talent development and leadership within the team.  

  • Retain and attract diverse exceptional talent, fostering an inclusive environment.  

 

What Should you have:  

  •   10 – 15 years of relevant experience in IT disciplines, including technical architecture, data and analytics, technical lead, and solution architecture background.  

  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering large-scale information management technology solutions encompassing data integration, master data management, and self-service analytics enablement. 

  • Experienced manager, having led subject matter expert groups and able to align opinions in a complex matrix organization. 

  • Experience in software/data engineering practices (including versioning, release management, deployment of datasets, agile & related software tools).  

  • Knowledge of at least one large-scale data processing technology (e.g., High-performance computing, distributed computing), databases, and underlying technology (cloud or on-prem environments, containerization, distributed storage & databases)  

  • Cloud-native, ideally AWS certified. 

  • Experience in leading IT services organizations focusing on IT services to internal/external customers.  

  • Extensive working knowledge in the Data analytics area, ideally in the Data engineering subdomain.  

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions.  

  • Product and customer-centric approach.  

  • Innovative thinking, experimental mindset.
