Location: This is a fully remote role. Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office).

About the Team
State and District Partnerships (SDP) is laser focused on growing and maintaining College Board’s core businesses as market dynamics change. SDP’s 100+ colleagues serve as the primary liaisons to states and districts which use College Board programs and services. Within SDP, the Business Planning & Operations (BP&O) team is focused on the development and implementation of efficient overall business processes within the division and with cross-organizational teams to achieve clean delivery of our programs. We use data, observation, experience, and creativity to guide decision making and process development. We serve as a resource for the planning and operations of the division; encompassing the units focused on state and district partnerships, International, and Unified State Strategies. Our team works to provide opportunities to students through promoting the use of College Board programs and services including the SAT Suite of Assessments, Advanced Placement, and BigFuture.
About the Opportunity
As the Senior Business Analyst, K-12 Data Strategy & Visualization, you will direct the delivery of critical data insights, furthering the efficacy of our account sales reps and managers as they expand adoption of College Board programs by states, districts and schools across the U.S. and the world. You will monitor AP and SAT program-related market trends, design reporting of key program KPIs, and develop recommendations for improved decision-making in our K-12 program sales efforts. Through your user-centric approach in understanding what our account sales reps and leadership needs, you will be their voice when working closely with developers to bring our dashboard to life. Your expertise will be essential in driving sales strategies, identifying opportunities, and supporting the organization’s goals to expand its influence within U.S. schools and districts.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting Dashboard Design and Maintenance (60%)
Own and develop short- and long-term strategy for delivering actionable data insights to field sales that drive program growth and expansion.
Collaborate with sales reps, managers, and other stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for the Tableau reporting dashboard.
Create and maintain an integrated and personalized Tableau dashboard template for sales reps and sales managers. Ensure the dashboard effectively tracks sales performance, market dynamics, and program KPIs.
Develop visualizations that not only present data but also highlight key takeaways and actionable insights. Use data-driven storytelling techniques to make the information accessible and impactful for stakeholders.
Work closely with technology partners to develop, implement, and continuously improve the dashboard. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and data sources.
Data Analysis, Interpretation, and Reporting (30%)
Analyze and interpret program data from College Board’s internal data sources such as testing systems, registration systems and Salesforce. Identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform College Board’s sales strategies.
Develop and implement forecasting models to anticipate market trends, predict program growth, and guide strategic sales planning.
Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from sales leadership. Provide timely and accurate data analysis to support decision-making processes.
Systems Management (10%)
Serve as the expert resource in SDP for both our CRM and business intelligence dashboard tools.
Provide training and support to team members to ensure effective use of these tools.
Conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses of market intelligence, competitive trends, and emerging opportunities to inform College Board’s sales strategies.
About You
You have:
5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in visualizing and analyzing data to direct the design of dashboards supporting an end user; direct experience in education sales, assessment, curriculum, or student achievement initiatives and a bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred
Advanced BI tool experience preferably with Tableau data visualization strategies and capabilities
Exceptional data visualization skills, with the ability to gather, synthesize and analyze relevant data to identify trends
The ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable, data-driven recommendations or insights
Experience with utilizing data to tell a story and using it to support discussions that drive change
Strong organization and prioritization skills and the proven ability to move forward multiple projects in concert
Demonstrated ability to influence others and a relationship-building approach that’s motivated by a strong, user-centric orientation
Strong experience preferably with Salesforce Data Analytics or similar CRM system tool
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience interacting directly with all levels of senior management and presenting to large groups of stakeholders
A willingness and ability to think creatively, and take and use feedback to improve processes
A willingness and ability to travel as needed for in-person meetings and onsite work, up to 10%.

About Our Process
Our offices will be closed from 12/25/2024 - 1/1/2025. Application review will begin on 1/2/2025 and will continue until the position is filled.

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $80,000 to $125,000.
College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.
Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles. College Board strives to provide our best offer up front based on this criteria.
