We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Governance Lead / Data Architect to join our team. This role is integral to shaping and driving the data governance strategy, ensuring the effective management and utilization of our organization's data assets, and aligning data practices with regulatory and business requirements. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in data governance, architecture, and strategy with a deep understanding of data management best practices and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes.
- Establish and manage data governance councils, steering committees, and working groups to foster a culture of data stewardship.
- Oversee data quality initiatives, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, secure, and accessible across the organization.
- Define and manage data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across departments.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop a common understanding of data governance and ensure its adoption across all business units.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and internal policies.
Requirement
- Data & Technical Architecture: Design and implement data and technical architectures to support business needs.
- Data Platform Delivery: Lead the delivery of scalable and efficient data platforms.
- Cloud Architecture: Develop and manage cloud architecture solutions for optimal performance.
- SQL, Python, Visualization & Analytical Tools: Utilize SQL, Python, and data visualization tools for advanced data analysis.
- API Development & Management: Develop and manage APIs to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data governance, data architecture, or data management roles.
- Proven experience leading data governance initiatives, driving organizational change, and managing large-scale data projects.
- Expertise in data modeling, data management, and data architecture best practices.
- Experience with data integration, cloud platforms, and ETL processes.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, and tools.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
- Advanced knowledge of data architecture, cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and big data technologies.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools and languages (e.g., SQL, UML, ERD).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with AI/ML techniques and their integration into data systems.
