Job Summary
Mondelēz International is looking for a Manager of Syndicated Data Management & Governance. This is a critical position within the US Insights & Analytics (I&A) team and plays a pivotal role in our overall POS/consumption & consumer panel data strategy and governance, leading the governance, harmonization, and maintenance of our syndicated data relationships. The accuracy and timely delivery of this data is critical to the measurement and reporting of business performance at both a global and local level.
The ideal candidate for this role will bring multi-year experience and deep knowledge of syndicated, Consumer Panel, Point of Sales (POS) data from partners such as Nielsen, Circana, & retailer gateways. He/She will be the subject matter expert of our syndicated data ecosystem and will drive the strategy and governance to ensure the delivery of high-quality data for business analysis, reporting and business planning solutions. This individual will lead the day-to-day relationship with our syndicated data provider(s), business stakeholders and senior leaders across commercial functions and category leaders to establish and oversee data governance policies and process, chair the governance forums, manage & maintain accurate mapping and coding of our custom databases. He/She will drive the future transformation and roll-out of new syndicated data capabilities across the US business and own the training program to expand the data acumen and self-service capability of the organization. The individual will be responsible to oversee and manage our syndicated data partner to ensure accurate coding of new products and overall health of our custom database.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Leads vendor relationship and management with US data provider(s) for retail sales and consumer panel data (NielsenIQ, Circana, etc.) including both long-term strategic planning and short-term operational management.
Aligns and collaborates with US Commercial business stakeholders to ensure that syndicated data requirements are met for business performance analysis and reporting, modeling, automation, and visualization capabilities.
Monitors accuracy, reliability, and security of all syndicated data in line with business requirements and acts as escalation point for noncompliance, taking action to correct.
Oversee and manage our syndicated data partner to ensure accurate coding of new products and overall health of our custom database.
Establishes and enforces data governance policies, standards, and best practices to guarantee data, service and technology quality, accuracy, and security as well as compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and research industry requirements.
Provides guidance and support to cross-functional teams on syndicated data usage, interpretation, and integration with other data sources.
Supports I&A Data lead to establish master data management practice for our point-of-sale data sets to ensure a single source of truth for business reporting.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
Bachelor's Degree required. MBA or Masters in Analytics, Finance, Economics, or related areas preferred.
7+ years' experience in CPG marketing, sales, or insight & analytics.
Extensive understanding of industry-specific external data sources used to measure and track performance (e.g., Nielsen, Circana, Retailer POS, Kantar, etc…).
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor.
Strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholders.
Strong bias for action, with a proven track record in persuasively influencing and aligning business stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization.
Persuasive and effective communicator, obsessed with telling clear, compelling stories that influence stakeholders & drive action.
A natural inclination and curiosity for solving complex problems while balancing art and science.
Strong ability to partner and communicate with stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within defined timelines.
For salaried roles based: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,500 to $157,475; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. (for Band I+ also include… and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program).
