Job Description

The Sr PA Data Engineer is responsible for supporting the design and development of data infrastructure and engineering projects for human capital data for People Analytics and the enterprise. This role will contribute to the development, to construct and maintain large, complex data through design, collection, integration, processing, and transformation of large datasets from HR, Finance, and other data sources. This person will support leaders, data scientists and analysts on their data needs to drive strategic reporting, advanced analytics, and workforce planning activities.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as PySpark, SSIS or similar.
  • Experience in data warehousing, including data modeling, loading, transformation, scripting, and process auditing.
  • Experience working within an engineering lifecycle with heavy accountability in delivery.
  • Experience in building relationships and collaborating with a broad-spectrum of individuals/teams including HR, Technology, and the business at various levels of management.
  • Experience creating and maintain technical documentation such as ERD, information models, flow diagrams, data dictionaries, etc.
     

Education

  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • 3 years SQL experience working with relational databases and query authoring (SQL) field (Required)
  • 3 years’ experience cleaning, mining, manipulating, and analyzing data using tools such as Python (Required)
     

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This job does not have supervisory duties.

Functional Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure/Fabric, AWS, GCP, etc., for data storage, services, and processing.
  • Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of HR systems (e.g., Workday, VMS, etc).
  • Experience working with workforce data or working in a people analytics team.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining reports/dashboards in PowerBI and Tableau.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $69,200.00 - 123,800.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
