Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Data Analyst Specialist – Materials to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing material usage, costs, inventory trends, and supply chain data to optimize operations and improve efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, supply chain, and production, to ensure data-driven decisions enhance material management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze material-related data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to monitor material performance metrics (inventory levels, usage rates, cost efficiency, etc.).
  • Perform trend analysis and forecasting on material consumption, inventory requirements, and costs to support procurement and production planning.
  • Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in material management and provide data-backed solutions to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure accurate material demand planning and inventory optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze material cost fluctuations and their impact on overall operations and profitability.
  • Support supplier performance evaluations by analyzing delivery timelines, quality metrics, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity by maintaining accurate records in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and conducting regular audits.
  • Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Publish daily material and reports
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in material analysis and data management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in materials management or supply chain.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to present findings and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in materials planning or procurement analysis.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for advanced data analysis.
