The Senior Data Engineer will support Enterprise Data & Analytics services as part of the data management group within the Ciox Real World Data (RWD) organization. In this role, the Senior Data Engineer is expected to spearhead the design and architecture of the Ciox RWD Platform encompassing Data Lifecycle functions including Ingestion, Curation and Analytics. The Senior Data Engineer will have demonstrable experience in the Design, Architecture and Data Engineering of complex Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and Analytics Platforms. The Senior Data Engineer will play a critical part on a team of Engineers and Scientist that are making a difference for healthcare stakeholders and empower greater health for patients. 

You will:

  • Develop using technologies such as Kubernetes, Python, Spark, SQS, Elastic Search, PostgreSQL, Airflow, Redshift, Dremio etc.
  • Design data pipelines and transformations from various data sources of healthcare and medical data to support analytics initiatives throughout the Ciox Health ecosystem
  • Work closely with the Agile teams by providing technical direction and support to by instituting Data Engineering best practices that ensures the development and delivery of high quality and high performance Data and Analytics Pipelines
  • Work with Big Data and Machine Learning
  • Liaison with Development Managers to help define the Development, Quality and Reliability of Data and Analytics Pipelines throughout the full SDLC.
  • Develop and implement strategies to translate business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data warehouse designs to ensure that business needs are met.
  • Provides data consulting in support of business and information technology initiatives to educate cross functional teams.

What you will bring to the table: 

  • Bachelors or Master’s in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Math.
  • 6-10 years software development experience using the following technologies:
    • Kubernetes
    • Python
    • SQL development
  • Track record of implementing AWS / Azure services in a variety of distributed computing, enterprise environments
  • Track record of working with Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) or other container technology
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns and good coding practices

Bonus points if:

  • Work experience in practicing NLP and Data Science 
  • Healthcare experience
  • Kubernetes Certified Application Developer (CKAD)

Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $95,000 - $120,000.
