Specializing initially in the airline industry, Fetcherr aims to revolutionize industries with dynamic AI-driven solutions.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented FinOps Specialist to manage and optimize our cloud financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing, monitoring, and controlling cloud costs, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish cost-efficient practices and implement strategies to maximize our cloud investment while aligning with business goals.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze cloud usage and spending patterns across Google Cloud and Kubernetes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and implement cost optimization strategies, including resource right-sizing, reserved instance purchasing, usage scheduling, and optimizing Kubernetes workloads.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to recommend architecture changes for cost efficiency.
  • Monitor Kubernetes cluster utilization and implement strategies to minimize idle resources and reduce waste.
  • Create and maintain detailed cost reports and dashboards to provide transparency and insights for stakeholders.
  • Establish budgets and forecasts for cloud expenditure and monitor actuals against them.
  • Drive awareness and adoption of FinOps practices across the organization.
  • Provide regular updates on cost performance and trends, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with Google Cloud and Kubernetes pricing models, tools, and new offerings to ensure best practices in cost management. 

Requirements

You’ll be a great fit if…

  • Proven experience in cloud cost management, preferably within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes, including workload optimization and scaling strategies.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and technical data.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud cost management tools, such as Billing Reports, Cost Management Dashboards, and BigQuery Billing Export.
  • Experience with FinOps frameworks and tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Spot.io, or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Terraform, or similar) to implement cost control measures is a plus.

Nice to have:

  • Certification in Google Cloud (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Developer).
  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production.
  • Experience in multi-cloud environments or hybrid cloud setups
