The Postdoctoral Associate will apply his/her technical skills toward development and implementation of machine learning, computer vision, and other algorithms for analysis of medical images and prognostication as well as to other tasks related to this research program in order to solve important problems. He/she will likely implement different algorithms in Python and potentially other programming languages. The current and prior work of the lab include deep learning algorithms for detection, segmentation, and classification, including anomaly detection, and semi-supervised learning. He/she will work in a thriving research and clinical environment where he/she will be able to interact with researchers as well as clinicians. This appointment will allow for improving the candidate’s engineering skills as well as becoming familiar with current health care problems.
Qualifications:
The candidate for this position will be a highly motivated individual with experience in deep learning and a masters degree in computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, biomedical informatics, biostatistics or a related discipline.
Required qualifications include (1) expertise and experience in machine learning, (2) proficiency in computer programming, (3) good verbal and written communication skills, (4) experience with preparing high quality scientific publications in the fields of machine learning, (5) experience with medical images.
