The Energy Data Analyst position supports the client interface with Kinect Energy, through multiple data platforms.  Key responsibilities include data entry, processing and scanning of vendor invoices, data review and trend analysis. This position coordinates the communication and resolution of invoice discrepancies between the client, vendors, and Kinect Energy colleagues. This position requires ownership of various assigned supplemental activities that support the controls and processes needed for successful fulfillment of client requirements.  You will be working in a fast paced, dynamic team-oriented environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily completion of all data entry processing of vendor invoices and usage data into Kinect Energy systems
  • Data review and needed resolution for all supply, pipeline and utility vender invoices with assigned clients
  • Understand and be able to work within the Kinect Energy systems to produce client reports, as well as, necessary back-up supporting documentation
  • Work within a data management team, distributing and contributing to the workload equally with team members
  • Effective use of current software and the willingness to be involved with beta testing, as needed
  • Communicate in a professional manner with verbal and written communications with all levels of employees, vendors and clients
  • Coordinate with World Fuel Services personnel, suppliers, pipeline and utilities to remedy errors discovered in a professional and timely manner
  • Quantify and report value to the Client Scorecard as incidents are remedied
  • An understanding of the energy contracts and complex energy invoices must be understood and analyzed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is highly desirable
  • Experience of processing high volume of data in an educational or work environment is essential
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the energy industry is desirable
  • Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and organizational skills are essential
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal are essential
  • Strong team working skills are essential
  • Strong analytical skills are essential
  • Strong IT skills are essential in windows-based application software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
